AirTran Airways Launches Sale for Travel to/from All Destinationstitle
- Kick-Off the New Year with Sale Fares Starting as Low as $39* -
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched a sale for
travel to all of the airlines destinations with fares starting as low as
$39 each way. Travelers may purchase these sale fares at http://airtran.com
or via AirTran Airways reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish,

"We are proud to kick-off 2006 with sale fares good for travel to any of
our 48 destinations across the country," said Matthew Klein, AirTran Airways
director of revenue management. "Our new sale fares give our customers a
chance to experience our Caring Customer Service as well as enjoy XM Satellite
Radio on our all-Boeing jet fleet."
These special fares are available for purchase January 3 through January
17, 2006, and are good for travel to Florida and Grand Bahama Island through
March 1, 2006, and for all other markets through May 24, 2006. The sale fares
are valid for travel all days of the week except Sundays, and like all AirTran
Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel
and do not require a roundtrip purchase or a Saturday night stay.

person applies to any change made after purchase plus any applicable increase
in airfare. Ten-day advance purchase required. Tickets must be purchased by
January 17, 2006. Fares to/from Florida and Grand Bahama Island are valid for
travel through March 1, 2006. Fares for travel to all other markets are valid
through May 24, 2006. Lowest advertised fares are available for travel on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Additional sale fares are valid for travel
on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Fares are not valid for travel on Sundays.
Seats are limited, subject to availability and may not be available on all
flights. Blackout dates are as follows: February 17 and 20; and April 7, 8,
13, 14 and 17 for all markets. Additional Blackout dates include: February
15, 16, and 18 for travel to Florida and Grand Bahama Island; February 21, 25,
26 and 27 for travel from Florida and Grand Bahama Island; February 2, 3 and 4
