Emirates Airlines to Develop Aircraft Interiors With Pacelab Cabin Softwaretitle
ATLANTA, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Emirates has equipped its engineering
department with Pacelab Cabin, the standard cabin configuration tool from
software provider PACE. Pacelab Cabin will be used to support aircraft
refurbishment projects for the airlines large and diverse fleet of medium and
long-range aircraft. Pacelab Cabin will also provide decision support during
aircraft acquisition, e.g. when performing A350 against B787 benchmarks: the
software yields highly accurate forecasts of seat capacities and the general
appearance of the future cabin, while taking account of Emirates award-
winning amenity standards.
Being precisely tailored to the needs of cabin engineers, Pacelab Cabin
allows the development, visualization and analysis of large amounts of layout
scenarios quickly and is suitable for any aircraft type. This capability is a
key prerequisite for qualified decision making, further leveraging Emirates
renowned cabin design expertise. At the same time, Pacelab Cabin generates
impressive time savings. This aspect is gaining importance, as Emirates fleet
is set to grow and diversify significantly in view of recent bulk orders of
Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 airliners.
Another remarkable asset for cabin refurbishment and evaluation is the way
that Pacelab Cabin checks the cabin layout as it is being designed, thereby
automatically ensuring that certification regulations are met. With Pacelab
Cabin, the rulebook can be rapidly tailored to each aircraft, ensuring
compliance with regulations by different certifying agencies. Just as easily,
the library of cabin interior items can be viewed and extended at short
notice.
