JetBlue Signs on as Latest Airline Partner for Aviation Week Groups MRO Conference Seriestitle
NEW YORK, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- JetBlue Airways has signed a sponsorship
agreement with Aviation Week Group for the MRO (maintenance, repair and
overhaul) conference series. The airline partnership program, which includes
Qantas, covers the MRO Conference & Exhibition and MRO Military held in the
U.S., MRO Europe, MRO Military Europe, MRO Asia, and MRO China.
The growing MRO market consists of the $37 billion global commercial and
regional/business jet sector, and the $53 billion global military sector. The
MRO conference series is the largest dedicated to aviation maintenance, and
brings together suppliers and maintenance executives to identify and implement
strategies to improve safety, turn-times, cut costs and increase profitability
of their hangars and facilities.
"The MRO conference series is all about fostering best practices in
aviation maintenance worldwide, and JetBlues sponsorship underscores its
commitment to this quest," said Aviation Week Executive Vice
President/Publisher Kenneth E. Gazzola. "As a relatively new carrier, it
shows tremendous foresight to become a major player in developing advanced
maintenance practices not only in the U.S., but worldwide. As maintenance and
its cost have become a major concern within airlines, progressive carriers are
out in front of this issue so they may fly longer and safer while maintaining
cost."
Upcoming MRO conferences include MRO Conference & Exhibition and MRO
Military, April 22-25 in Phoenix; MRO Military Europe May 17 & 18 in Berlin;
MRO Asia September 19-21 in Xiamen, China: and MRO Europe, October 24-26 in
Amsterdam. Additional information and online registration for all MRO events
