AirTran Airways Reports Record November Traffictitle
ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today reported record
traffic for the month of November 2005. Revenue passenger miles and enplaned
passengers represent records for the month of November.
AirTran Airways traffic, measured by revenue passenger miles (RPMs), grew
by 30.2 percent, to more than 978 million RPMs, on an increase of 25.9 percent
in capacity, based on available seat miles (ASMs). Novembers load factor
increased to 71.4 percent, compared to 69.1 percent in November 2004. The
airline enplaned 1,446,478 passengers in the month of November, a 29.2 percent
increase from November 2004, and a record for the month of November.
