L.B. Foster Buys Boeing Facility to Increase Rail Fabrication Capacitytitle
Former Pueblo, Colorado Rocket Parts Plant will Manufacture Innovative Rail

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pittsburgh-based L.B. Foster
Company (Nasdaq: FSTR) announced that it has purchased the former Boeing Delta
III rocket parts facility in Pueblo, Colorado and plans to use the sites
55,000 sq. ft. building to increase production capacity of its Rail Products
unit. "We are excited about our increased presence in the Pueblo area and we
believe this location and our expanded capacity will best serve our rail
clients needs," said Stan Hasselbusch, President and CEO of L.B. Foster
Company. The plant occupies nine acres at the Pueblo Municipal Airport
Industrial Park and is well suited as a rail fabrication and stocking
facility. "Approximately 30 new jobs are expected to be created," reported
Robert Howard, Vice President of Human Resources.
Equipment installation and commissioning of this new facility is expected
in March, 2006. L.B. Foster will manufacture insulated rail joints and
assemble Electro 20 Lubricators at the new plant. L.B. Fosters insulated
rail joints are insulated steel bars which are epoxy bonded to rail to form
track joints. The compact Electro 20 Lubricator is a track-mounted
lubrication device used to minimize rail friction and enhance usable rail
life.
